A number of high-temperature tests have shown that even if the product is exposed to a high temperature environment above 200°C for 2000 hours, the important mechanical properties of the product such as Shore hardness and elongation at break are hardly affected. After cross-linking, it has a hardness of up to Shore A 55 and is especially suitable for the production of high temperature silicone seals such as oven doors or silicone elements in engine compartments. Post-cured vulcanizates meet the requirements of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for direct food contact products.
